He is basically Carroll's understudy if you consider how we play and the combinations ALOLdyce uses.
Fourth choice strikers do not make as many sub appearances as Cole does, as this would suggest we already have at least two strikers on the pitch if he's truly fourth choice.

If we had had any kind of decent striker instead of Cole in the Championship we would have, and should have, been promoted automatically.
Basically, because of him, our future was risked on the lottery of the playoffs.

Don't think anyone can deny he isn't a very good footballer.
And if he really is the best 4th choice we can get then we will never progress. Fact is we will always get injuries so the 4th choice striker will get game time at some point And I can't think of a top half team that would want him playing for them.
I really can't see one of the youth players doing worse, and At least they'd be getting experience.
He should be thanked for his service, he has been loyal - handsomely rewarded of course - but loyal and played a massive massive part in getting us promoted, so should have no ill feelings, always conducted himself well and certainly doesn't deserve snide swipes at him. But time for better.

There's no room for sentiment in football. George McCartney last season was ok but He had run his course as a premier league left back and was rightly let go. Cole is in the same boat. A good loyal servant but as I said no room for sentiment especially in a key position.

In JANUARY when KENWYN JONES was still at CARDIFF, we knew we needed a STRIKER so we should have signed him ON LOAN then.

You thick cunts seem to be missing the fact we'd have to pay actual money for dear Kenwyne, probably 4ish mill. Thats completely forgetting that he's a dreadful player and would encourage Sam to play hideous long ball shit even more so. Plus he wouldn't come to be 4th choice.
